In Kostroma, the Pegasus plant under the Itelma brand will produce electronic units based on an alternative element base (ECU), the Ministry of Industry and Trade reports. They are designed to replace foreign analogues that have left the Russian market.
ECUs ensure the operation of the engine and systems responsible for the safety and comfort of the vehicle. Domestic systems will be installed on KAMAZ cars and buses.Russian printed circuit boards, passive electronic components and connectors will be further used in the design of control units, microcircuits and microcontrollers will be added to the list of household electronic components,” the statement said.
Let’s remind that earlier the first production of anti-lock braking systems in Russia started at the same place in Kostroma. Serial deliveries of ABS to Russian car manufacturers have already started.
