Today, June 20, a powerful storm will appear in the Volgograd region.
Journalists of “Gorodskie Vesti” report that the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a storm warning. According to forecasts of Volgograd meteorologists, the regions and the city will be damaged by heavy rains, thunderstorms and a raging storm, the speed of which will reach 28 meters per second in some places. Such weather can be observed until the end of the current day and tomorrow, in the first half of the day.
The journalists of Gorodskie Vesti reported earlier that due to the approaching bad weather in Volgograd, all Emergency services are highly trained.
According to the Central Geological Service of Volgograd, from the evening hours of June 20, rains with thunder, hail and wind speed up to 28 m/s are expected in the region. During this period, residents of Volgograd are not advised to leave the area unless necessary. If you do go outside, you should be very careful: avoid damaged trees, hanging signs and billboards, shaky structures, don’t stand under power lines, and stay away from downed wires.
