A multidisciplinary support center for military service participants and combat veterans will be built in Volgograd in 5-7 years. Governor Andrey Bocharov announced this yesterday at a meeting with the public. As Gorodskie Vesti reports, referring to the press service of the district administration, the facility will be located at the foot of Mamaev Kurgan, it will become a unified coordinating link of the regional system of comprehensive rehabilitation and health restoration of combatants.
According to the project, the new service will include six institutions specialized in rehabilitation, prosthetics, orthopedics (a multifunctional rehabilitation complex with a prosthetics center in Volgograd, a traumatology, orthopedics and prosthetics center, a renovated regional hospital for veterans), sanatorium treatment (a sanatorium and rehabilitation complex in the Sredneakhtubinsk region) and patriotic education (” Young Hawk” Center). All units will be available not only to veterans and their families, but also to all needy residents of the Volgograd region. About 15 billion rubles are allocated for the implementation of the task.
