It is already ready to receive patients from the “winged ambulance”. As Gorodskiye Vesti was told by the regional health service, the helicopter will work around the clock to transport patients from the southern regions of the region to the emergency hospital. This will reduce the time it takes to get patients to a medical facility and provide immediate care.
The new helicopter is already the third in Volgograd. The first two are located near hospital No. 25 of Dzerzhinsk district and near the heart center of Sovetsky district. There are a total of 7 takeoffs and landings in the region. And also every central district hospital has an area prepared for these purposes.
Hospital No. 15 is in the process of modernization. Intensive care units for patients with acute cerebrovascular accidents and coronary syndrome appeared there. They are equipped with modern equipment: computed tomography scanners, portable ultrasound machines and rehabilitation equipment.
It should be noted that on the initiative of the governor Andrey Bocharov, the air ambulance service was restored, which is already celebrating its 7th anniversary. He works around the clock. During this time, doctors transported more than 2.3 thousand patients, 387 of whom were children. And 2366 flights were carried out.
